Bettas4all.nl organizes the first Betta show of the Netherlands on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th of August 2006. With this show we hope to make this hobby more familiar in the Netherlands and to give people the possibility to have a look at these beautiful fish in all their shapes and colors. The show will be held in a completely heat controlled room which was made available by Discus Center Amsterdam.
All the information about participation in this show, how to find our location and nearby situated hotels can be found on: www.bettas4allshow.nl.
We would like to invite you all to come and have a look at the first betta show in the Netherlands. We hope to welcome many breeders, aquariumhobbyists and everybody who is interested.

C'est pas l'envie qui m'en manque mais déjà que je suis nul en anglais mais alors en allemend c'est pire que tout...tant pis

Pourquoi allemand...  les hollandais parlent très bien anglais...
Je suis très contente de voir que le premier Betta-Show va enfin avoir lieu en Hollande !

As many people will have to come from far it is off course possible to stay in Amsterdam during the Bettas4all show. As the costs of booking a hotel for 2 nights in Amsterdam during this period is pretty expensive, we (Joep + Debby, Ilse, Donny, Annieka + Thijs en Marion Schultheiss) made a booking in a nearby youth hostel (at ~1,3 km from the showlocation).

Males and female will sleep in separate dorms. A booking of 2 nights (Friday 25/08/06 and Saturday 26/08/06) will cost ~50 euro per person. When you are interested you have to make a booking yourself. More information about this can be found at the website of the youth hostel: www.shelter.nl
When you are interested to sleep in the same male/female dorms as our group you can send a request after you booked by sending an e-mail to: reservation@jordan.shelter.nl by mentioning the name of our group (Bettas4all) and our bookingnumber: (B11A6D).
When you prefer a hotel, the following option could be a nice suggestion (at ~2,3 km from the showlocation: www.hoteldamsterdam.com

The entry fee is € 1 per fish (max. 15 fish per breeder). Please mention your Bettas4all username here!
Your entry will be valid after payment of the entry fee. Make sure you are in time as we can maximally place ~ 200 fish at our show. When the entry fee is received on our account you will receive an email to confirm your entry.
The fish have to be present at the show at Friday 25th August 2006 before 21.00h! You can collect your fish again on Sunday 27 august 2006 at 16.00h.

It is also possible to sell your fish at the show. If you are interested in doing this you can indicate this on the entry form. Please indicate if you offer your fish as a pair or individual fish. If your fish are sold at the show, 75% of the total price will be paid to you when you collect your fish on Sunday 26 August. 25% of the total price is retained in favor of the Bettas4all show.
Here you can find an example to give you an idea how to use the entry forum. A participant wants to register the six fish which are shown below (6 males and 1 female) for the Bettas4all show. With help of the information in the Show classes and Standard section the colors, fintype and classes can be easily found. The participant wants to sell number 1, 4 and 6 on the show, from which number 1 as a pair.

In case of problems entering your fish into the right show class, please write “HELP” in the corresponding panel of the show class column. The Bettas4all team will then make sure your fish will be placed in the correct class at the show.

Saterday and Sunday several of these quality showfish will be offered for sale. Some of the showwinners will only be sold by means of an auction on Sunday afternoon. This gives you also the oppurtunity to purchase a pair of these beautifull fish for yourself for a reasonable amount of money.
It is also possible to participate in our lottery in which you can win many beautifull prices can be very usefull in the aquarium hobby in general or specific for the betta hobby.
It is still possible to participate, please send your entryforms back before Friday 18 August 2006. You can download the entry form in both .doc (Word) as .pdf (acrobat reader) format (click below):

This exchange trophee will be awarded to the European breeder which has won the most prices at our show.
The Trophee for the "Best European Breeder" was kindly donated by Herbert Heim (BettaBGd2Me) from Germany! Herbert thank you very much for providing this trophee to us :D!!

Less then one week to go :lol:!!! Today the Bettas4all-team started with building up the show at the showlocation in Amsterdam. Off course we made some pictures :D.
